Il explore \u00e9galement les facteurs qui influencent ces diff\u00e9rences.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Existe-t-il des diff\u00e9rences entre les sexes en ce qui concerne la quantit\u00e9 d'activit\u00e9 physique que nous pratiquons, ou bien nos taux de participation sont-ils simplement diff\u00e9rents ? Y a-t-il d'autres raisons qui contribuent \u00e0 cette diff\u00e9rence et dont nous parlerons plus loin ? Examinons quelques-uns de ces facteurs.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\">L'\u00e9cart entre les hommes et les femmes en mati\u00e8re d'activit\u00e9 physique<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Le pourcentage de femmes physiquement inactives est nettement plus \u00e9lev\u00e9 que celui des hommes. Selon une \u00e9tude men\u00e9e par les Centres de contr\u00f4le et de pr\u00e9vention des maladies (CDC) en 2013, plus de 46% des adultes am\u00e9ricains sont consid\u00e9r\u00e9s comme \"inactifs\". Cette statistique r\u00e9v\u00e8le un \u00e9cart important entre les niveaux d'activit\u00e9 des hommes et des femmes.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Selon les CDC, seules 15% des filles atteignent le niveau d'activit\u00e9 minimum recommand\u00e9 pour leur groupe d'\u00e2ge. En moyenne, les gar\u00e7ons et les filles d'une m\u00eame tranche d'\u00e2ge ont tendance \u00e0 avoir des niveaux d'activit\u00e9 physique l\u00e9g\u00e8rement diff\u00e9rents, la majorit\u00e9 d'entre eux \u00e9tant moins d'une heure par semaine. Plus pr\u00e9cis\u00e9ment, 55% et 45% des gar\u00e7ons et des filles \u00e2g\u00e9s respectivement de 12 \u00e0 19 ans n'atteignent pas les niveaux d'activit\u00e9 appropri\u00e9s pour leur groupe d'\u00e2ge.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Cela signifie que, par comparaison, 24% des filles ont tendance \u00e0 \u00eatre moins actives que les gar\u00e7ons.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Facteurs qui influencent les taux de participation des femmes et des hommes<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Le principal facteur \u00e0 l'origine de cet \u00e9cart entre le pourcentage de femmes et d'hommes, en particulier ceux de moins de 18 ans, qui sont consid\u00e9r\u00e9s comme inactifs est le manque de motivation des deux sexes. L'une des raisons invoqu\u00e9es pour expliquer ce manque de motivation est la pression per\u00e7ue par la soci\u00e9t\u00e9, qui donne l'impression aux individus qu'ils ont peu ou pas de temps pour pratiquer une activit\u00e9 physique.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Cependant, une autre raison fr\u00e9quente est que les femmes pensent qu'elles n'ont pas assez d'\u00e9nergie ou d'endurance pour faire de l'exercice r\u00e9guli\u00e8rement. Une \u00e9tude a montr\u00e9 qu'un cinqui\u00e8me des femmes pensent qu'elles n'ont pas assez d'\u00e9nergie et d'endurance pour faire de l'exercice r\u00e9guli\u00e8rement. Ces r\u00e9sultats montrent que le probl\u00e8me peut \u00eatre li\u00e9 \u00e0 la perception qu'une personne a de sa propre capacit\u00e9 \u00e0 participer \u00e0 une activit\u00e9 physique.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Un autre facteur important influen\u00e7ant la diff\u00e9rence de niveau d'activit\u00e9 physique entre les hommes et les femmes est le type de sport qu'ils pratiquent. Les hommes ont tendance \u00e0 pratiquer des sports tels que la boxe, la natation, le tennis, le v\u00e9lo, etc., tandis que les femmes pr\u00e9f\u00e8rent des sports tels que le golf, la randonn\u00e9e, la danse, etc. Il existe \u00e9galement des diff\u00e9rences entre les sexes en ce qui concerne le temps que les femmes consacrent aux jeux physiques. Les filles ont tendance \u00e0 \u00eatre des joueuses d\u00e9vou\u00e9es qui sont toujours pr\u00eates \u00e0 faire des efforts suppl\u00e9mentaires pendant les comp\u00e9titions.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Elles ont tendance \u00e0 privil\u00e9gier le plaisir plut\u00f4t que la victoire, ce qui peut entra\u00eener une baisse de la motivation et des taux d'engagement. De leur c\u00f4t\u00e9, les gar\u00e7ons ont tendance \u00e0 \u00eatre plus comp\u00e9titifs et \u00e0 vouloir terminer le jeu avant de passer \u00e0 l'\u00e9tape suivante. Il est donc probable que les hommes pensent que l'activit\u00e9 physique est destin\u00e9e aux prouesses athl\u00e9tiques, alors que les femmes se concentrent davantage sur la forme physique.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Outre les raisons mentionn\u00e9es, certaines \u00e9tudes sugg\u00e8rent que les femmes peuvent rencontrer davantage d'obstacles lorsqu'elles essaient de s'impliquer dans des activit\u00e9s sportives en raison des normes et des attentes de la soci\u00e9t\u00e9. En outre, certaines recherches sugg\u00e8rent que les hommes qui pratiquent une activit\u00e9 physique sont plus susceptibles de recevoir le soutien de leurs amis ou des membres de leur famille. En conclusion, les femmes sont g\u00e9n\u00e9ralement plus r\u00e9ticentes \u00e0 s'inscrire dans des clubs sportifs ou \u00e0 pratiquer un sport, ce qui pourrait expliquer la disparit\u00e9 observ\u00e9e entre les sexes.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Que pouvez-vous faire si votre sexe a un acc\u00e8s limit\u00e9 au sport ?<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">La meilleure fa\u00e7on de lutter contre ces diff\u00e9rences peut \u00eatre de sensibiliser \u00e0 l'importance de l'activit\u00e9 physique et d'encourager les deux sexes \u00e0 pratiquer des activit\u00e9s saines qui leur plaisent. Ce faisant, vous pourrez peut-\u00eatre r\u00e9duire le nombre de personnes qui se consid\u00e8rent comme \"inactives\". En outre, la sensibilisation pour encourager les deux sexes peut \u00e9galement inclure l'enseignement d'activit\u00e9s physiques aux enfants dans les \u00e9coles.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">L'\u00e9ducation des parents peut \u00e9galement contribuer \u00e0 faire en sorte que les enfants soient plus actifs physiquement et moins susceptibles de devenir ob\u00e8ses.
