Existem outras raz\u00f5es que contribuem para esta diferen\u00e7a e que ser\u00e3o discutidas mais adiante? Vejamos alguns desses factores.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\">A diferen\u00e7a de g\u00e9nero no n\u00edvel de atividade f\u00edsica<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p>A percentagem de mulheres fisicamente inactivas em compara\u00e7\u00e3o com os homens \u00e9 significativamente superior \u00e0 dos homens. De acordo com um estudo realizado pelos Centros de Controlo e Preven\u00e7\u00e3o de Doen\u00e7as (CDC) em 2013, mais de 46% dos adultos americanos s\u00e3o considerados \"inactivos\". Esta estat\u00edstica revela uma diferen\u00e7a significativa quando se compara o n\u00edvel de atividade entre os g\u00e9neros.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>De acordo com o CDC, apenas 15% das raparigas cumprem os n\u00edveis m\u00ednimos de atividade recomendados para a sua faixa et\u00e1ria. Em m\u00e9dia, rapazes e raparigas do mesmo grupo et\u00e1rio tendem a ter n\u00edveis ligeiramente diferentes de atividade f\u00edsica, sendo a maioria inferior a 1 hora por semana. Mais especificamente, 55% e 45% de rapazes e raparigas com idades compreendidas entre os 12 e os 19 anos, respetivamente, est\u00e3o abaixo dos n\u00edveis de atividade adequados para o seu grupo et\u00e1rio.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Isto significa que, em compara\u00e7\u00e3o, 24% das raparigas tendem a ser menos activas do que os rapazes.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Factores que influenciam as taxas de participa\u00e7\u00e3o de homens e mulheres<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p>O principal fator subjacente a esta discrep\u00e2ncia na percentagem de mulheres e homens, especialmente os menores de 18 anos, que s\u00e3o considerados inactivos \u00e9 a falta de motiva\u00e7\u00e3o entre ambos os sexos. Os homens tendem a praticar desportos como o boxe, a nata\u00e7\u00e3o, o t\u00e9nis, o ciclismo, etc., enquanto as mulheres preferem desportos como o golfe, as caminhadas, a dan\u00e7a, etc. Existem tamb\u00e9m diferen\u00e7as entre os g\u00e9neros quanto ao tempo que as mulheres passam a praticar jogos f\u00edsicos. As raparigas tendem a ser jogadoras dedicadas que est\u00e3o sempre dispostas a fazer um esfor\u00e7o extra durante o per\u00edodo de competi\u00e7\u00e3o.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Tendem a dar prioridade \u00e0 divers\u00e3o em detrimento da vit\u00f3ria, o que pode levar a uma menor motiva\u00e7\u00e3o e a uma diminui\u00e7\u00e3o das taxas de envolvimento. Entretanto, os rapazes tendem a ser mais competitivos e a concentrar-se em terminar o jogo antes de passar \u00e0 ronda seguinte. Por conseguinte, \u00e9 prov\u00e1vel que os homens acreditem que a atividade f\u00edsica se destina a proezas atl\u00e9ticas, enquanto as mulheres se concentram mais na boa forma f\u00edsica.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Para al\u00e9m das raz\u00f5es mencionadas, alguns estudos sugerem que as mulheres podem enfrentar maiores barreiras quando tentam praticar desporto devido \u00e0s normas e expectativas sociais. Desta forma, \u00e9 poss\u00edvel reduzir o n\u00famero de pessoas que se consideram \"inactivas\". Al\u00e9m disso, a sensibiliza\u00e7\u00e3o para incentivar ambos os sexos pode tamb\u00e9m incluir o ensino de actividades f\u00edsicas \u00e0s crian\u00e7as nas escolas.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>A educa\u00e7\u00e3o dos pais tamb\u00e9m pode ajudar a garantir que as crian\u00e7as sejam mais activas fisicamente e tenham menos probabilidades de sofrer de excesso de peso.
